Telltales of a Baltic 51

Sailing yacht Event Horizon is a 51' centerboard sloop built in 1982 by Baltic Yachts Ltd of Bosund, Pietarsaari, Finland. Designed by the C&C Design Group, she is number 22 of 24 semi-custom Baltic 51's built between 1979—1988.

Event Horizon • USA 31546

S/V Event Horizon, USA 31546, is a light-weight displacement offshore sailboat with a fiberglass and balsa sandwich construction hull. She is easily identified by her black anodized aluminum alloy mast and boom.

As of 2012, "Eve" and crew are exploring the US Pacific Coast, and are currenty in San Francisco Bay.

During 2007—2008 Event Horizon and her crew completed a northern Trans-Atlantic Passage to Ireland and an Atlantic Trade Winds Crossing to the Caribbean. S/V Event Horizon called Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay home from 2002-2011, and is currently afloat in San Francisco Bay.
